Heather and I have been friends for, somewhere in the neighborhood of, 15 years and Harrison and I have been good buddies since our glory days at Carolina. Unbeknownst to me at the time, their paths crossed soon after college, and when they came to visit us all in St. John in 2012, I knew then and there they were perfect for each other. Suffice it to say I was thrilled when Harrison asked me if I would photograph his proposal to Heather on the day after Christmas at Wrightsville Beach. Harry couldn't have picked a better day - the sun was shining brightly and the water was almost a Caribbean shade of blue. I adore the beach in the winter time. He popped the question at the point on the south end of Wrightsville, overlooking Masonboro Inlet and the jetties. We worked our way north on the beach, finding an empty lifeguard station (total Baywatch moment), and ended at Johnni Mercer Pier. Ryan and I had such a fun morning toasting, celebrating and photographing these two beautiful humans and we can't wait to continue the celebrations back in Raleigh!
